Is it possible to send automatic email to vendor for the negative mentioned days?

Example: Already i maintained all 3 fields are positive days, If i change it to purchase value keys as -7,7,14. is it will work fine? and tell me dates how to maintain in PO.Please give me an example for better understanding.
